religious liberty and government limits

It has long seemed to me that the effort to enact social justice by the power of the government fails to address the nature of government to exalt itself above any other authority, including divine authority. The current administration’s position that religious liberty applies in only the most narrowly defined way exhibits government’s nature quite well.

Hopefully the injunction against forcing Christians to violate their religious beliefs when they enter the public sphere of commercial activity will lead to some serious reflection on this issue.
