It has been an unusual summer, obviously. Lots of records for high temperatures and low precipitation. It’s going to be felt for awhile. Now I know why Dad remembers drought years of his youth.
It’s been hard on our plants, of course. Our tomatoes have survived, but they’ve spent most of their time, well, surviving rather than setting fruit. With the recent improvements in the weather conditions I have noticed a few tomatoes beginning to develop, so that’s encouraging.
Especially because the ones we’ve had already have been SO GOOD! Definitely one of the better things in life.
Where there are the parts, can the whole be far behind?
